Cute/Cool Electronic Gadgets at Cheap Prices

I have an old car and it takes forever and a day to get it to play a burned audio CD. I should just install my in-dash gps, but I am too lazy to take it to Best Buy and pay $250 to get it installed, so instead, I settled for an FM transmitter.

I purchased the FM transmitter from Deal Extreme and while searching, I decided to purchase an MP4 player from them as well. I've bought from them before, and they sell cool looking gadgets at cheap prices.

I just received my stuff today and everything seems to be in working condition and looks decent. Only downfall to this site is that they do ship directly from Hong Kong and it takes about 1.5 weeks to get your order. But the prices on this site is well worth the wait. I purchased a 1 gb MP4 playler for ~$34 and the FM transmitter for ~$9. One thing though, products ARE made from China, so packaging and accessories might not be the higest of quality.

Sushi Station

Last Friday we got an invitation to eat at this place called Sushi Station. What's unique about this sushi place is that it's like a "sushi train" that rotates around your table. You see something you like, you grab it. Dishes range from $1 - $6 a plate and if you're not a hardcore nigiri lover, you will LOVE this place. My bf and I ate till our stomachs popped and only spent a whopping $38. I will update pictures as soon as I get them. But for now, the address and number is below.

Drink the RITE diet soda

Going on a diet sucks when you are a pop lover. I drink a lot of pop and juice and when I decided to go on a diet, all of those drinks became hands-off. Sure, there are a lot of diet sodas, diet ice teas and such, but if you look at the ingredients carefully, they are mainly made with the ASPARTAME. Aspartame is a low calorie sugar substitute and while that sounds great for those on a diet, aspartame is also known to STALL METABOLISM and a possible carcinogen.

So what's a dieter to do? Don't fret. I've got the perfect solution.

Drink diet sodas/ice tea that uses SUCRALOSE (Splenda). The soda that I drink is called DIET RITE. It has zero calories, zero carbs, zero sodium, zero caffeine and comes in many delicious flavors such as tangerine, cola, red raspberry, white grape, and black cherry.

I have been drinking this since my diet and it has worked GREAT!

SK-II Facial Essence

Lately I've been crazy about facial products. I guess all women reaches that stage sometime in their life, and now, at 27, I've finally reached that stage. I am currently trying out various products to see what will work best with my dry/combination, sensitive skin. My bf bought me a very expensive, yet WONDERFUL product. SK-II Facial Essence. This product works GREAT!!

This product is a moisture booster that restores skin's natural 28-day renewal cycle, making skin smoother and more radiant. It contains more than 90% Pitera and is described as a "miracle water". It balances skin's PH, sebum secretion, moisture and oxygen levels, so the oily areas (T-Zones) are less oily, while the dry areas are more moisturized.

Directions for use:

Facial Cleanser (yet to recommend one), then SKII-Essence, then moisturizer (also have yet to recommend one). I found it easiest to conserve the product by dropping a few drops (2-4) on your palm, and using your other hand to dip and dab onto your face.

I have ordered another product from a website, but due to the overwhelming amount of imitation SKII, I will recommend the site once I receive the product and have it authenticated.

In the meanwhile, you guys will just have to order it from SAKS Fifth Avenue, OR from Sasa's (this site sells authentic products at a slightly lower price than department stores)

Low Carb Chocolate

Being a chocolate lover and going on the low carb diet sucks big time. Luckily, I have discovered Russell Stover’s Net Carb chocolate that provides tasty chocolate without the artificial taste AND low (and I mean LOW) carb content. They have several different flavors including Peanut Butter Crunch (my favorite), chocolate candy and almonds, French mint, solid chocolate candy, toffee, mint patty, and truffle.
These chocolates can usually be found in Jewel-Osco on the Osco side where they sell the diet pill stuff. Usually I have a hard time finding the Peanut Butter Crunch, but now I have a new discovery!
Low carb dieters can also enjoy Russell Stover’s SUGAR FREE chocolate and still enjoy the great taste while maintaining the low carb diet. How do I know this? I was getting so frustrated about not able to find the peanut butter crunch that I compared the nutritional facts on the back of the sugar free vs. net carb packaging from Russell Stover.
What first caught my eye was the fact that they are both made out of SPLENDA. A low-calorie sugar substitute. To calculate the net carbs in the chocolates, subtract the sugar alcohols and the dietary fiber from the total carbohydrate and you will get your net carbs. Just in case my calculations were wrong, my bf called Russell Stover's customer service to double check. And the conclusion is: we now have more flavors of chocolate to taste!!
